SEEKING BOOCH: How Love Led To ‘Booch And Beyond

It’s famously hard to predict where love will lead you. When you follow your heart, it can often make life harder, it can often make life feel nearly magical, and it can often do both at the same time.

Founders Philippe and Julian have been together for over 15 years, and they probably work so well together because they both have a serial drive to follow their hearts no matter what. While it might have culminated in your favorite kombucha, that’s not where it started.

Together, they’ve been serial entrepreneurs, starting multiple businesses like NYC’s very own BORO Magazine, and their own digital marketing agency, Northern Seekers. At each turn, they saw something that was missing, necessary, and got their hands dirty to do the important work of getting it done. In the process of all of these scary ventures, starts and restarts, late nights, compromises and sacrifices, they’ve built a hard-won partnership that’s never been closer or stronger, and proved to everyone they can overcome anything.

We do what we do to make the world a better place, and inspire others to do the same. Not everyone is lucky enough to be with their soulmate for 15 years, but you – regardless of what Single or Taken box you check – also have the very thing that fueled this all: LOVE.

At Seek North, everything we do comes from this. We love our community, so we work with local charities and organizations that give back and work for the better world we want to see. We make our products with eco-consciousness, and to put something in people’s lives to help them take care of themselves. We use our work for causes that we believe in – Lyme Disease research and awareness, environmental responsibility, health awareness, and local community stewardship.

And we hope that every bottle you open, and every blog you read, inspires you to do the same. February and Valentine’s Day have become synonymous with couples and chocolate, leaving so many feeling left out when it comes. But what if you could celebrate it by doing things you love, for the things you care about. Because that’s exactly how we got to where we are.

Philippe started making kombucha in his home kitchenb to help Julian recover from Lyme disease, and to gift his friends immunity-boosting, antioxidant goodness. It was crafted with love, given with love, lovingly received, and so Philippe headed back to the kitchen over and over because he felt the love. Now look at us.

This February, we want you to practice love too. Find something that’s important to you, and go do it. Make something for your friends, volunteer at an organization you admire, be good to yourself so you can be good to others. Find something, somewhere, that you think is missing and go make it – and love what you do.

This is what Seek North gets to do every day. We’ve built this with our own hands and a small team of people that believed in us, and what we love.

Julian and Philippe are now a part of community they care about, with a house full of love, and people around them that care. And they get to make things happen every day that they want in the world. It wasn’t luck, it was love and work.

So you may be single, or you may not be. You may be in a good place right now, or you may not be. You might love your job, or you may not. But you definitely have love, and you can definitely give it. And who knows what will become of it if you just keep doing that.

This month, and on, take care of yourself, love yourself, and go make others want to do the same. Tag us on Facebook or IG @seeknorth and show us how you’re sending love out into the world this February.
